VOLUNTEER

The Chaska Historical Society is fortunate to have a group of talented volunteers helping to carry out our mission. Learning about Chaska history, developing new skills and contributing to the community are all aspects of volunteering at CHS.

Volunteer Areas

Reception Volunteer - Practice your friendly and helpful greeting skills in this position. Your primary responsibility includes answering the phone, greeting visitors and assisting guests as they research and view displays and explore Chaska history.

Events and Program Volunteer - Want to be involved but have limited availability? This is the job for you - let us know if you can be on call to assist with decorating or as a program or tour leader.

Archiving Assistant - Learn the nuts and bolts of the collection development process of the History Center so that you can build a legacy of resources for future researchers! Learn to archive photographs or artifacts while teamed with an experienced volunteer.

Exhibit Assistant - Team up with other individuals interested in sharing Chaska's history. If you are available for shorter but intense periods of time this may be the job for you! An artistic eye, problem solving skills, clear communication skills and work with others are necessary talents for this volunteer position.
