About the series
Session 1: Getting Started with Genealogy
Curious about your family history but not sure where to begin? This session will guide you through the essential first steps of genealogical research—from gathering information you already have to organizing it in a way that sets you up for success. We’ll cover how to create a basic family tree, what records to look for first, and how to keep track of your discoveries (and where you found them). You’ll learn strategies for staying organized, avoiding common pitfalls, and setting achievable goals for your research. Whether you’re brand new to genealogy or returning after a break, this session will help you build a strong foundation for uncovering your family’s past.

Each session has its own registration unless you select the "Attend All Sessions" ticket below.
